Walk out to Winter

Illustrator is not my strong point but this was good practice. I had the idea while being ill myself to come up with the best ways to have fun while you are ill and these where the best ones that I came up. As you can see that they are very clearly inspired by the original itunes and iPod advertisements. simplicity was very key in this as well as recognizably.

Try these out next time you are ill or have a cold and PS don't blame me.

The Official Opening

This blog post is the official opening of the James Reay Design website. It has been constructed and coded by my good self as part of a university project. It is a portfolio website and is there to display some of my most of my personal and as well as client based work. This is something that potential clients who are looking for designers will look at...if you are one of those people don't hesitate have a look. Click on the image below and prepare for a journey into the work of James Alexander Reay.

Digital Punk

Digital DIY. Punks would of hand drawn these and hand coloured them using felt tip pens and then photocopied the life out of them. In modern times. Punks if they want this aesthetic can just use a computer tablet and a pen. No Photocopier. No Cost. You loose a little of the style but is an easy way of getting hand drawn text and images onto the computer.

I did these flyers to promote records in general as i do consider them to be a marvelous invention. It has since become a status symbol for hipsters who want to look fashionable. Punks would of made flyers like this themselves to promote the new single or EP as it was the cheapest most cost effective way of doing so.

Photoshop Wanderings

Have your random Photoshop wanderings ever turned it to a towering cityscape at lunch time? Nope. Neither had mine until the other day. I started messing around trying to replicate a post modern piece of Graphic Design from a uni text book and ended up with this. So failing my intended target, I made a nice pretty picture for you all.
